Beyond the Lake are a duo based in Melbourne, Australia, featuring Anita Quayle on the Yamaha SVC110 electric cello and Nick Delaney on both the Kiesel electric 8 string guitar and bass guitar.

Utilising the Headrush FX pedal board and Headrush looper board, they create ethereal, dreamlike soundscapes to soothe the soul. Various effects and live looping produces blissful textural music, providing a calming ambiance suitable for sleep, meditation, yoga, reading, and restlessness.

Their collaboration developed organically during the extensive Covid lockdown of 2020 in Melbourne. Nick and Anita began live-streaming a series of improvisations called “Music for Sleep”, as a way of helping those struggling with the pandemic. During that time, they performed over 50 live streams and released two live albums, “Music for Sleep Volumes 1 and 2”.
